80% after 1000 charging cycles
Despite the fact that iPhone 15 smartphones have been on sale for about six months, Apple has only now shared information that the batteries of devices in this line are more durable than their predecessors.
If Apple previously promised to retain 80% of the cell’s capacity after 500 charge-discharge cycles, then the iPhone 15 has twice as much — 1000 cycles!
There is no technical revolution in this. Apple itself says that the improvement is due to constant updates to battery components and power management systems over the years. Apple adds that its own testing included charging and discharging the battery 1,000 times under certain conditions simulating typical usage scenarios.
