Shortage of components and problems with painting
AvtoVAZ announced the pre-production assembly of the Lada Aura and now, it seems, it has become clear why the car cannot yet be put into production: the shortage of components (in particular, rear door cards) is complemented by problems with painting. Insiders of the Avtograd News public told about this.
«All pre-production Lada Aura cars leave the assembly line with PTF [fog lights] and ESP. Now most cars are in white on original wheels. The problem with painting with enamels from the eastern partner has not gone away yet, the western equipment, the eastern paintwork materials, do not want to be friends with each other, the factory specialists are trying to force it, but so far it’s not very successful, there are many reasons, we’ll talk about this sometime later», — insiders reported.
AvtoVAZ still has time to solve the problem: mass production of «Aura» planned for the fall of this year.
