It’s simple – there is no recycling fee in Belarus
Lada Vesta from Belarus is an impressive 300 thousand rubles cheaper than in Russia: if in a neighboring country a car can be purchased for the equivalent of 1.19 million Russian rubles, then in Russia exactly the same car costs 1.51 million rubles. The resource 74.ru interviewed official Lada distributors in the neighboring country and found out why there was such a difference in prices. The distributors themselves explained this by the lack of recycling collection in Belarus.
True, the neighboring country does not yet offer the entire range of Lada Vesta: there is no Vesta Sportline, and cars with a CVT are not offered. At the same time, the difference between the top versions of «Vesta» reaches even 400 thousand rubles.
Why Vesta is so expensive in Russia is unclear, because VAZ receives compensation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the salvage fees paid.
