More than 20 thousand cars monthly
More than 92 thousand cars from Japan have been imported through Vladivostok customs since the beginning of the year. In March, the volume of imported cars returned to pre-sanction levels and remains at a level of more than 20 thousand per month.

In the first quarter, 37,222 Japanese cars were imported; in April and May, more than 55 thousand cars were delivered.
According to Ussuri Customs, in the first five months of 2024, the volume of Chinese cars imported by individuals increased sevenfold, to 2,306 cars. In 2023, 308 units were imported during the same period.
It was previously reported that supplies of passenger cars from Japan to Russia in April of this year remained virtually unchanged: compared to April 2023, they decreased by only 0.8%.
Last August, sanctions came into force that prohibit the supply of gasoline and diesel cars with engines larger than 1.9 liters, as well as hybrid cars, to the Russian Federation. The first months of supply dropped significantly, but today they have almost recovered.
