Intel may leave the discrete video card market, which it has only just entered? A reliable source says that there is no trace left of the Battlemage generation of cards

They were credited with leaving at the end of the year

It looks like Intel is once again having trouble releasing new discrete graphics cards on time. The Battlemage generation of adapters may not come out this year. Or in general.

Golden Pig Upgrade Pack insider claims that there is no trace left of Battlemage, and the DG3 line will not be released next year.

Unfortunately, the author did not bother to tell in more detail, but it is clear that his words hint that we will not see Battlemage video cards this year or at all. Let us remind you that it was recently reported that their launch is supposedly scheduled for October or November.

The DG3 line refers to the next generation of Celestial after Battlemage, but here the situation is unclear, since Celestial was not supposed to be released in 2025.

Back to Battlemage, we have already seen many leaks regarding iGPU performance in Lunar Lake processors, which will use the Battlemage architecture. That is, we will get such graphics cores in the CPU in any case, but perhaps not discrete video cards. For what reason Intel might cancel or significantly delay the launch of this generation is anyone's guess, but it's worth remembering that the current Alchemist generation Arc cards also hit the market significantly later than Intel originally planned. In general, Intel may well abandon this direction altogether, leaving it to develop only within the iGPU.

The Golden Pig Upgrade Pack insider once shared performance leaks of Intel CPUs of different generations and published Intel slides describing the Meteor Lake CPU.
