The new game in the Assassin's Creed series will not be available on outgoing generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft
Several insiders claim that Assassin's Creed Shadows will not be available on outgoing generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will only be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and personal computers.
Last year's Assassin's Creed Mirage was released on all gaming platforms, including Nintendo's Switch.
Back in 2022, Ubisoft announced that new games in The Assassin's Creed series will be developed for “current generation consoles“.
