The car easily skids
Keiichi Tsuchiya — Japanese racing driver, a drifting legend, received the nickname Drift King for his excellent car control in a skid. His car, Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno, became one of the most popular in this sport.
He was invited to test the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, which the Drift King rated very highly. According to the driver, this is the best electric car currently on the market. It combines balance, performance and driving pleasure that no other electric car can provide. Thanks to the simulated paddle shift, it can be driven in the same way as a powerful gasoline-powered car.
Professional photographer Larry Chen was invited to Sydney Motorsport Park in Australia to photograph Keiichi Tsuchiya as he tested the Ioniq 5 N. Even without a clutch or hydraulic handbrake, the driver easily makes the electric crossover drift. Keiichi Tsuchiya stated that the heavy curb weight of the car makes it easier to skid.
The video shows how Keiichi Tsuchiya masterfully navigates the corners of Sydney Motorsport Park. As a result, Larry Chen also got behind the wheel, but lost control and slightly crashed into the guardrail.
Previously, the YouTube channel CarSceneKorea published a couple of interesting videos in which the most powerful Hyundai crossover accelerates above the maximum speed and corners at a speed of 232 km/h.
