After the earthquake in Taiwan, TSMC was forced to stop production and evacuate staff
TSMC, one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in the world, whose clients include leading technology corporations such as Apple, NVIDIA, Sony, AMD and many others, was forced to stop production and evacuate staff after the earthquake that occurred in Taiwan.
One of the factories was seriously damaged. According to an eyewitness, “beams and columns [of the structure] were broken and production lines stopped.”.
“All EUV lithography machines have stopped and the walls of the research laboratory have cracked.”.
