But monitors based on the new panel will go on sale in 2025

The TFTCentral resource has published a roadmap for the release of new LG Display panels to the market. One of the notable new products will be a 27-inch matrix with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a frame rate of 360 Hz – production of such panels will start in the last quarter of this year, and finished devices will appear a quarter later.

And we are not talking about a regular IPS matrix, but about IPS Black – with increased contrast ratio up to 2000: 1. According to TFTCentral, LG Display is working on next-generation technology that will increase contrast even further. IPS Black 2.0 is expected to go into production by the end of 2025.
