These are APUs for different segments
AMD's Strix Halo generation mobile processors may actually come out this year. At least they have already appeared in transport documents.
The models are not indicated, and most likely there are simply no names yet, but there is an indication of a TDP of 55 W. This is a lot for a mobile processor, but, firstly, in reality, modern high-performance mobile CPUs have long consumed much more, and secondly, Strix Halo looks impressive compared to any other solutions.
Recall that they are credited with up to 16 Zen 5 cores and up to 40 CU units in the iGPU, that is, 2560 stream processors. And this is more than the Radeon RX 7600.
Finally, AMD will return to increasing the number of cores in its processors. Ryzen APU of the Strix Point generation with 12 cores appeared on the Internet
We also have the first processor of the Strix Point generation to appear in the GravityMark benchmark. This will be the usual line of energy-efficient Ryzen x000U, but noticeably enhanced compared to the current generation.
The test was carried out by an engineering sample with code number 100-000000994-19_Y. It has 12 cores, 24MB of L3 cache, and likely an iGPU with 1024 stream processors. The software indicates that it was running at 2.6 GHz, and the entire APU consumed about 24 W of power. Currently, iGPUs in the Ryzen 7040U/8040U have clock speeds of up to 2.9 GHz, so you can expect no lower figure for serial new products.
The iGPU result is approximately at the level of the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Max-Q, but this is an early sample, so it is far from the final results.
