High-speed mobile Internet will be provided to all villages of the LPR by 2026

All settlements of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) with a population of 100 or more residents will be provided with high-speed Internet. This was reported by the TASS news agency with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development of the LPR.

The department statement reads:

An important task for telecom operators is to improve the quality of mobile communications. Thus, the target indicator for mobile Internet is a speed of at least 10 Mbit/s. In 2024-2025, it is planned to cover settlements with a population of 100 or more residents with a cellular signal and provide high-speed Internet access. 

It is also noted that for now the exception will be front-line territories where mobile communications are absent due to security requirements. According to the Ministry of Digital Development, at the moment mobile communications are available in all settlements  LPR with a population of 500 or more inhabitants.
