This will be the first serial Belarusian electric car
A prototype of an electric car was shown in Belarus, which should go into production in 2025. The car, called BelGee EX50, looks like a regular BelGee X50 (that is, the first generation Coolray), but there is no traditional 1.5-liter engine, instead — electric power plant.
Characteristics have not yet been announced, it is only reported that the motor — Belarusian production, and the development of the car was carried out by the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
«Your task: by January 1, 2025, you must test this machine and start producing. I know all your mistakes. You have a year to start producing similar cars», — said Alexander Lukashenko while getting acquainted with the car.
