The Yaroslavl Motor Plant has a new motor — large 12-cylinder V-shaped diesel YaMZ-855. It produces 1054 hp. and an impressive 4300 N·m of torque.

As reported by the Telegram channel «Trucks and in general», YaMZ-855 is the first 12-cylinder Yaroslavl engine with battery injection. Moreover, it can operate not only on diesel fuel, but also on gas — there is such a modification.

«It’s interesting that the Yaroslavl people don’t even try to pass off the engine as completely localized, honestly admitting: yes, the share of imported parts is still large&amp ;raquo;, — told «Trucks and in general». It is reported that YaMZ-855 will be installed on Belarusian BelAZ mining dump trucks.
