The development of Manor Lords continues little by little. Players will be faced with a new vision of the tax system, as well as a different approach to product consumption

Recently, the creator of the medieval city-planning simulator Manor Lords presented the first major patch. It has not yet gone into full release, but is undergoing public testing.

You can now access the new experimental branch “Manor Lords (0.7.960)”. Before switching to the beta version of the game, Greg Styczeń advises making a backup copy of your save files.

In this patch, he tried to fix some problems, for example, players complained about weak archers, difficulties in working with fields (inefficient harvesting), excessive consumption of ale, etc.

Some changes in the first major first major patch for Manor Lords (the things described are “experimental” and may change a lot by the final version): < /p>

  • Reduced ale consumption by 75% (about 1/3 per family per month)
  • You can now trade between your regions through trading posts.
  • When consuming food, people will now select a random food resource instead of eating food in a specific order.
  • When harvesting crops, the crop is directly added to the field inventory, rather than to the villagers' inventory villages: “This was done to ensure that harvest time would not be a major bottleneck in agriculture, especially in large fields.”
  • Removed the work camp upgrade – it was intended for colony regions and will be added again when they are properly implemented.
  • Disabled fire damage for people who have buckets of water and are actively putting out fires + reduced amount of fire damage.
  • Changes have been made to the work of archer AI
  • The herd of sheep now gathers closer together, to look more like a herd.
  • The “Annual Royal Tax” or “Royal Tax” mechanic is introduced (the final name has not yet been chosen):

The developers cut the agenda and asked the curator of Sweet Baby Inc Detected to remove the game from the shameful list

«This is a tax that is collected from the treasury once a year, goes to the king, is calculated on each inhabitant and should theoretically penalize a little for poor job optimization and make it difficult to accumulate huge amounts of money.

For now, the player can go into debt without consequences, but in the future he will lose the favor of the king, and eventually the royal army will become the enemy of players who refuse to pay “.

  • Whenever a person dies, there is a 30-day mourning period that blocks growth – this is displayed in the interface.
