Google allows you to pause comments on YouTube videos

The Google team has introduced a new moderation tool for creators on the YouTube video platform. Video creators will now be able to pause comments, preventing new comments from being added to a video while preserving those already posted. 

In a blog post, YouTube developers said the feature allows creators to «take a break from managing comments if they become overwhelmed» and provides some flexibility in how comments are handled.

Until now, YouTube creators had only two moderation options: either delay comments until manually reviewed before publishing, or completely disable all comments on a video. YouTube noted that the «Pause» has already begun to spread.
