A completely new Chery SUV has been declassified in China — it's called iCar V23.
This is the second model under the iCar brand and the first created by Chery in collaboration with Zhimi Technology (it has close ties with Xiaomi). According to Carnewschina, the Zhimi team was responsible for the concept, planning and development, and on the Chery side — production, component supply chain, sales, delivery and after-sales service. There should be other fruits of the collaboration between Chery and Zhimi Technology in the future.
The iCar V23 has a distinctly utilitarian angular body, and the front part represents a combination of modern and classic solutions (round headlights, shifted closer to the center, refer to the classic Jeep Willys SUV). The hood is raised, the bumpers are thick, on the back door — glove box. The rear lights with their horizontal sections are similar to the lights of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV. The car has 19- and 21-inch wheels.
The dimensions of the Chery iCar V23 are 4220 x 1915 x 1845 mm, but the wheelbase is the same as that of cars of a higher class — 2730 mm. In the database — one motor on the rear axle, the top version will have two motors and, accordingly, all-wheel drive. The car will use CATL traction batteries, range — from 400 to 500 km. Minimum ground clearance of the all-wheel drive version — 212 mm. The approach and departure angles look impressive — 43 ° and 41° respectively.
The Chery iCar V23 is equipped with a large-screen media system and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 SoC, as well as various level 2+ driver assistance systems.
The full premiere of Chery iCar V23 may take place at the end of this month at the Beijing Motor Show.
