For 700 dollars
Intel has introduced the Core i9-14900KS processor. This is the most powerful consumer CPU in the regular Core line and the first processor in the world with a frequency of 6.2 GHz out of the box.
The new product was priced at $700, which is lower than recent leaks indicated, and the same as the Core i9-13900KS cost at the start of sales. At the same time, at the start the Core i9-12900KS was $40 more expensive.
Core i9-14900KS, not counting the frequency and, as a consequence, TDP, is completely identical to the Core i9-14900K model. That is, there are the same 24 cores (8 + 16) and the same integrated graphics core.
It is likely that the Core i9-14900KS, among other things, will remain the most productive LGA1700 CPU, since at the end of this year Intel will again change the socket when releasing Arrow Lake processors.
