The Yandex team announced the launch of a useful update in the «Yandex Go» application. Now users can share a trip to other cities with fellow travelers. According to the press service, the fare amount for everyone will be reduced to 30%, and travel time will increase by an average of 15 minutes.
The driver will receive a fee from all passengers, and if there are no travel companions, the driver will receive a bonus from the service.
The algorithm automatically selects orders with passing routes. There can be three fellow travelers at the same time: two in the back seat and one in the front. Passengers are asked in advance to occupy only one seat and not to take bulky luggage with them. The driver waits only three minutes and then can drive away so as not to delay the others. You can stop for 10 minutes on the road — this time will not be included in the price. «Intercity» can be ordered in advance, from three hours to three days.
