Course reserve is 405 km
BYD e2 Honor Edition has been introduced, which includes two models with a power reserve of 405 km. They differ in equipment and are offered for $12,400 and $13,400. Starting price reduced by $1,500 compared to last year's model.
BYD e2 Honor Edition is part of the BYD Ocean series. The car is equipped with more than 12 essential features, including Blade batteries, heat pump air conditioning, NFC car key with smartphone connectivity, and fast charging capability.
The dimensions of the new BYD e2 Honor Edition are 4260 x 1760 x 1530 mm, while the wheelbase is 2610 mm, which makes it slightly longer than the previous model. The basic Comfort version is equipped with a 10.1-inch screen. The Luxury model received a 12.8-inch screen, DiLink system and voice assistant. In both cases, the cars are equipped with an 8.8-inch dashboard.
The line-standard heat pump system regulates battery temperature using direct heating technology even in low winter temperatures, increasing range by more than 10% compared to its predecessor. The vehicle is driven by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum output power of 70 kW.
More than 50% of the car's structure is made of high-strength steel.
Chinese-made BYD models shipped to Europe, the Middle East and South Asia were previously reported to be suffering from quality issues.
