Intel needs large clients

Intel has an ambitious plan to become the second largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world after TSMC by 2030. And for this she needs clients. Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger apparently sees Tesla as a potential client, as he personally contacted Elon Musk.

Elon Musk, I thought of you at our Chips Act ceremony this week. I look forward to giving you a personal tour of our semiconductor production lines!

Tesla alone cannot allow Intel to achieve its goals, but it will be a major customer that can serve as an example for others. In addition, Musk may bring Intel and other companies to which he is related.

Intel's CEO has recently stepped up his search for new clients, as the company reached a preliminary agreement with the US Department of Commerce to receive $8.5 billion in direct financing for projects in the US, plus $11 billion in loans low interest rates and a 25 percent investment tax credit on investments up to $100 billion. Considering the company's plans to build many new factories directly in the United States, this is great news for Intel.
