The older model has a color display
Bigme, which usually produces e-readers and other devices with an E-Ink screen, introduced its first smartphone. More precisely, these are two different models under the common name Bigme Hibreak. They will receive 5.84-inch displays made using E-Ink technology. In a simpler version, the screen will be monochrome, and in a more advanced — color.
The first device is based on the MediaTek MT6765 SoC, equipped with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory. The device runs on the rather old Android 11 OS. The second model will receive a more modern MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor and the new Android 14 OS. The amount of RAM will be 8 GB, and the built-in — 256 GB.
Both smartphones support 4G cellular connectivity. The battery capacity is 3300 mAh and thanks to the economical display, it will most likely last a very long time without recharging. Dimensions of the smartphone reader — 154 x 76.8 x 8.6 mm. The simpler model will be released on May 31st and will cost $219. The second model should hit the market near the end of the year at a price of $249.
