It should start by the end of 2025
Rosatom Fuel Company JSC «TVEL» intends to launch production of electric drives for cars by the end of 2025. The president of the company, Natalya Nikipelova, spoke about this within the framework of the ongoing forum «AtomExpo». According to her, the company will produce a small range of electric drives, and the company is already developing the next generation.
If we talk about electric drives, we agreed to launch a plant for the production of electric drives «three in one», that is, with electronics — inverter, gearbox and the electric motor itself — by mid-2025, but most likely it will be in the second half of 2025. And there we are aiming for up to 70 thousand electric vehicles.

President of JSC «TVEL» clarified that the electric drives will be domestic: “This will be a truly highly innovative Russian-made product.” In addition, Nikipelova allowed the company to enter the market of unmanned vehicles, noting that she has high hopes for the digital division.
