The Omoda S5 variator has a very long resource
Editor-in-Chief «Behind the wheel» Maxim Kadakov talked about what kind of power unit is under the hood of the Omoda S5, and also told an interesting fact about this automatic transmission.
This is a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated engine with a power of 113 hp. from the Acteco family. The engine digests 92 gasoline. It is quite simple, with a proven design and without any serious problems. The engine is combined with a CVT18 variator, designed for 180 N·m. This is a CVT from WLY, co-founded by Chery. The same variator will be installed on Lada cars.
