Mitsubishi will soon launch sales of hybrid versions of its Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross cross-vans in Thailand. The cars are produced at the brand's local plant in Laem Chabang.
The Mitsubishi Xpander combines the comfort and versatility of a minivan with the distinctive style and performance of a crossover. The new hybrid versions are equipped with a powertrain that includes a 1.6-liter DOHC gasoline engine and an 85 kW (116 hp) electric motor.
These cross-vans provide seven driving modes, including two electric ones. The remaining five modes provide optimal handling and power depending on road conditions.
The interior of the Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross has an 8-inch LCD display that displays various information, including the selected driving mode and battery charge level. An advanced sound insulation system with additional sound-absorbing materials ensures a quiet environment in the cabin.
At the moment, the cost and configuration of the Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross have not been announced.
