Early Apple Vision Pro customers who forgot their password were forced to return their headsets to Apple for a reset

Now stores have learned to carry out the procedure

The first users, who for some reason forgot the Vision Pro password, were unable to simply reset the device. According to Bloomberg, the customer should instead send the Vision Pro back to Apple so the company can erase the password and data.

It's worth noting that this is not an Apple ID password, but a password used to unlock your device and open apps. Typically, Vision Pro uses Optic ID for authentication based on the user's eyes. However, in some situations, users are required to enter their password, such as after a reboot.

On iPhone and iPad, if you forgot your device passcode, all you need to do is connect the device to your computer and then restore your settings and data. Although you will lose all your data, the device can be set up as new. This option was not initially available for Vision Pro users.

One reason may be that Vision Pro does not have a data port, so users cannot easily connect it to a computer. Apple sells a USB-C adapter for the Vision Pro, but it is for development purposes only.

A source later told 9to5Mac that Apple Retail employees have received early access to an Apple Configurator update that allows them to easily repair the Vision Pro through a Mac without having to send the device to an Apple repair center.

Remember, on «Yandex Market» offer Apple Vision Pro mixed reality glasses. The basic version with 256 GB of flash memory for 893,999 rubles can be obtained on Thursday, February 8.
