VIS semi-frame trucks and Lada special modifications
The transfer of car assembly facilities of the company «VIS-Auto» to the site of the former pilot industrial production of AvtoVAZ, which stood idle for more than eight years, as reported by «Avtopotok».
AvtoVAZ restarted the former Pilot Industrial Production (PIP), which had been idle since 2016. VIS-Auto, which produces VIS semi-frame trucks and special modifications of Lada, was moved to its buildings.
Today AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov and Executive Vice President for Production Mikhail Ryabov visited the production site and conducted an inspection.
The transfer will significantly reduce the cost and simplify the technical process of producing VIS trucks, since the enterprise will have a full cycle — welding, painting, final assembly.
The first trucks, which were created in the former OPP, have already been delivered to dealers this week.
