Digital Foundry boss compared Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 to The Order 1886. “It's more of an interactive experience than a video game”

The head of the famous British editorial team took to Channel X to reveal his impressions of the new Xbox exclusive.

“I must admit that while working on the video, I find interesting reviews of Hellblade 2. It is one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever seen. And I should point out that the term “experience” is more applicable than “game” in the traditional sense of the word, and I don't mean that in a negative way. It's definitely exciting.

I think the closest game to this game for me is The Order 1886, but with sword fighting instead of guns. It has the same visual style and a very focused design. However, the story in Senua's Saga Hellblade 2 is more intense. It's also worth noting that I'm a big fan of HDR in this game. Maybe it's because of the G4 I own, but the combination of dark, dimly lit environments with incredibly bright highlights is simply amazing. The fire penetrating the darkness is simply amazing.”
