8-speed automatic transmission ZF, part-time all-wheel drive with low range and front and rear differential locks
The Chinese automotive giant BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Corp.) announced its readiness to begin sales on the Russian market of the diesel version of the BAIC BJ40 frame SUV. As the press service clarified, the diesel BAIC BJ40 successfully completed all certification activities and received a Conclusion on the assessment of the vehicle type in Russia.
The car will go on sale in the near future and will be available in the Exclusive configuration costing 4,400,000 rubles. Earlier, Russian dealers began accepting orders for the diesel BAIC BJ40.
The diesel BAIC BJ40 is equipped with a 2-liter turbocharged engine producing 162 hp. with a maximum torque of 378 Nm at 1600-2400 rpm. Noise at idle is 65 dB. An 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and rear and front cross-axle differential locks are also provided.
BAIC BJ40 with a diesel engine has external differences from the gasoline model: a radiator grille, a bumper and wheels in black, red brake calipers, as well as a matte body paint, which can be chosen in black or white , red and green versions.
