The Russian Ministry of Digital Development has developed a bill on placing in the personal accounts of users on «Gosuslugkh» data about SIM cards registered on them. In his personal account, the user will be able to see all the phone numbers that are registered to his passport data. If any new number is registered, the operator will be required to send an SMS notification about this and a message to the subscriber’s personal account.
On «State Services» It will also be possible to disable those numbers that a person has not registered or does not actually use. According to the Ministry of Digital Development, the new rules will come into force from the day the bill is signed, and violation of the requirements will result in administrative liability. The Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, Maksut Shadayev, previously noted that data on SIM cards registered to the subscriber at the «State Services» will help «whiten» SIM card market.
