Only body repairs are possible, but as at a regular service station
Today Chery officially introduced the Chery Tiggo brand in Russia and the first car within this brand — electric crossover EQ7. After this, journalists could communicate with company representatives, and this is what the Autonews correspondent found out.
Chery cars that were imported into Russia as part of a private initiative of individual dealers (the so-called “gray” cars) will not be serviced by official dealers, including under warranty. Only body repairs will be possible, for which the driver will have to pay, like at any other service station.
Recall that some dealers bring to Russia from China exactly the same Chery cars that are officially sold, but due to various tricks during customs clearance, such cars are cheaper than official ones. Other dealers, on the contrary, prefer to import into the country those Chery cars that are not officially sold in Russia. But in both cases, you can’t count on repair and maintenance programs for such machines at official services.
