Chery presented the Jetour Shanghai L7 at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. It is a mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV available in both five and seven seat configurations.
The Shanghai brand was launched by Jetour last year with the L9 model and is a new series of energy vehicles. The new L7 has a fully enclosed front end with daytime running lights and a pinstripe. The headlights are located in cutouts in the front bumper, and the lower bumper features an air intake with black surrounds and chrome accents.
There is a slight difference in size between the 5- and 7-seater versions: the 5-seater has a length of 4760 mm, and the 7-seater — 4785 mm. This difference extends to the wheelbases, which are 2720 and 2745 mm respectively. The width and height of both versions are exactly the same and are 1900 and 1720 mm, respectively. The car badge shows the name Shanhai along with the C-DM badge.
C-DM means Chery Kunpeng plug-in hybrid system. It uses a 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine producing 115 kW along with an electric motor. The Gotion's electric motor and battery capacity are currently unknown. The maximum speed is 180 km/h.
The L7 on display had a white and blue interior with embroidery. A large double screen is installed, under which the climate control display is located.
