Call of Duty has become 50% less toxic, Activision noted and asked players to feel free to leave complaints

Since the release of Modern Warfare 3, the Call of Duty community has become more reserved and less aggressive

Activision published a new entry on the Call of Duty blog, praising the shooter's automatic moderation system for reducing community toxicity by 50%. Much fewer Call of Duty players have encountered negativity towards them since the launch of Modern Warfare 3.

It is noted that after the introduction of a voice chat moderation system in Call of Duty, more than 2 millions of users received warnings or were punished for violating community rules.

The system also showed that only 1 out of 5 users leave complaints about inappropriate behavior. Activision does not approve of this ratio and recommends more active use of the complaints system.

What is noteworthy is that Activision previously updated the moderation rules and introduced penalties for too frequent complaints. At the same time, it is unknown exactly how many requests the automated system can regard as spam.
