According to the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, a program is currently underway to search for vulnerabilities in electronic government information systems. Testing began in November, and in three months of work, bug hunters managed to identify 62 vulnerabilities, most of which — non-critical, the ministry notes. The maximum reward amount for detected vulnerabilities was 500 thousand rubles, and the minimum — 5 thousand rubles. The main prize for which «white hackers» are competing will be 1 million rubles.

Currently 10 systems are being checked, including State Services, the Unified Identification and Authentication System, the Unified Biometric System, the Feedback Platform, the System of Interdepartmental Electronic Interaction, the National Data Management System and others; the State Web has joined them since February. This is already the second stage of testing, and during the first stage, from February to May 2023, only State Services and the Unified Identification and Authentication System were tested for vulnerabilities. Then more than 8 thousand people took part in the project, 37 vulnerabilities were identified and eliminated.
