Now Volkswagen cannot be blamed for screen stinginess
The scheme with three screens on the front panel has long been mastered by automakers from the Middle Kingdom, and now Volkswagen has followed in their footsteps. The latest Volkswagen Tiguan L Pro was filmed live in China (it has not yet been officially presented), and it has a «digital dressing table» front.
It must be said that the new Porsche Cayenne, Macan and Panamera in top versions have three screens in front, but for the first time such a solution appeared on the people's crossover from Volkswagen AG. Interestingly, this car (the new generation Tiguan L) will appear both in the USA (there it will simply be called Tiguan) and in Europe (as the Tiguan Allspace).
The R badge on the miniature radiator grille indicates that the Volkswagen Tiguan L Pro in the photo is in the top-end R-Line version. The bumper and head optics are very reminiscent of these elements of Volkswagen electric vehicles from the ID line. In the photo from the side, aerodynamic wheels of decent size are clearly visible.
Apart from the appearance of a screen in front of the front passenger, there is nothing particularly new in the interior of the Tiguan L Pro — everything is designed in the spirit of the third generation European Tiguan.
Tiguan L Pro is comparable to the Monjaro not only in terms of three screens in the cabin, but also in the length of the wheelbase: 2791 mm for the Volkswagen crossover versus 2845 mm for the Geely crossover. There is approximately the same difference in the length of these models: 4735 mm Tiguan L Pro, 4770 mm — Geely Monjaro.
For the Volkswagen Tiguan L Pro, one 2.0-liter gasoline engine is announced, but in two power options: 186 and 220 hp. Nothing is said about the gearbox, but with a high degree of probability this crossover will receive a 7-speed robotic gearbox. Both the new Tiguan L and the new Tiguan L Pro will make their official debut in China later this year.
