During the latest Kinda Funny Xcast podcast, host Parris Lilly suggested that the first official news about the next Gears of War will begin to arrive this summer. These speculations were then confirmed by journalist Jeff Grubb. . Apparently, we should wait for news.”.
Grubb’s own statement was later confirmed by The Verge journalist Tom Warren.
In February 2023, Grubb stated that The Coalition studio had canceled two projects in order to focus its efforts on a new game in the Gears of War series.
