Overwatch 2 recently launched a holiday event where players can earn special tickets and then spend them on various cosmetic items.
Blizzard has arranged it so that even with a paid premium pass, there won’t be enough tickets for all the items, and you’ll have to buy more set separately. Players were angered by this vision of the holiday on the part of Metelitsa, and they went to express their dissatisfaction on social networks, demanding that premium pass owners be given the opportunity to receive all rewards without additional expenses.
Project producer Jared Neuss responded to the indignation of the players, who believes that Blizzard has shown not only generosity, but also gives people the opportunity to choose:
“That's 5 dollars for 4 legendary skins, which, it seems to me, is very much in keeping with the spirit of the holiday 😀
I heard that you want to be able to unlock everything. We wanted to give people the opportunity to choose the awards they will receive at this event. It will be interesting to see if Fear of Missing Out will eclipse this advantage.”.
