Priest spent $40,000 on church credit card on Candy Crush and Mario Kart

A Pennsylvania Catholic priest was detained by law enforcement officers. Lawrence Kozak reportedly spent $40,000 on a church credit card on Candy Crush Saga, Cash Frenzy, Mario Kart Tour, Pokémon Go and Wizard of Oz slot machines.

B Between September 2019 and June 2022, more than 2,000 card transactions were recorded and labeled by the bank as “gaming.” Kozak stated that he did not spend money on gambling, but simply “pumped up”.

Kozak also used card to buy an Amazon Fire tablet, a chemist's kit and other gifts for your goddaughter.

The priest living in sin was arrested on April 25 and charged with theft by misappropriation, failure to dispose of entrusted funds and accessing a device without proper authorization.
