Vivo today unveiled its flagship foldable smartphone X Fold3 Pro, and it may surprise many even without the fact that this is the world's first model in its class on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Vivo has done the impossible: the company managed to install a battery with a capacity of 5700 mAh!
into a folding device with a thickness of only 5.2 mm (unfolded, folded – 11.2 mm)
More precisely, there are physically two batteries here — with a capacity of 2850 mA·h each. It supports 100W wired charging and wireless — power 50 W, and there is also full protection against water in accordance with IPX8.
Smartphone length — 159.96 mm, folded width — 72.55 mm, unfolded — 142.4 mm. Weight is 236 grams.
Vivo X Fold3 Pro has a powerful Zeiss camera by the standards of the segment. There are two 50-megapixel sensors (in the main module and in the module with an ultra-wide-angle lens), as well as a periscope module with a 64-megapixel sensor that provides 3x optical zoom. The design feature determines the presence of two front cameras, both of which use sensors with a resolution of 32 MP.
Outer AMOLED screen — with a diagonal of 6.53 inches and a resolution of 2748 × 1172 pixels, internal AMOLED display — with a diagonal of 8.03 inches and a resolution of 2480 × 2200 pixels.
In the Vivo X Fold3 Pro configuration, a powerful vibration motor, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, an NFC chip, Wi-Fi 7, stereo speakers and three microphones, an IR emitter and Android 14 with the OriginOS 4 interface.
The price was a surprise: the Vivo X Fold3 Pro in the basic version with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory was priced at $1,385, and the cost of the top version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of flash memory was $1,525 . According to rumors, the smartphone was supposed to be more expensive.
