For the updated minivan, only one power plant is announced – a hybrid based on a 2.5-liter engine
The updated Toyota Sienna minivan is preparing to enter the Chinese market, and now the dealer has revealed the car’s configuration. The changes are spotty, but they affect different aspects.
The comfort aspect — new «aircraft seats» on the second row (apparently, we are talking about ultra-comfortable «zero gravity» chairs). The Sienna has always been comfortable in the back row, and now it will be even more comfortable.
The performance aspect in interaction with the media system — this is the new SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155. This single-chip system itself is far from new, but it will be used for the first time in the media system of the Chinese Sienna, which should increase the speed and responsiveness of the media complex. But the screen will not change, the diagonal will be the same 12.3 inches.
Riding aspect — four-wheel drive. The car will feature the E-Four system. As for the power plant, only one is announced for the Sienna 2024: with a 2.5-liter engine producing 189 hp. and a front electric motor with a power of 182 hp. The power of the electric motor on the rear axle is still unknown.
It is expected that all these innovations will be implemented in the Toyota Grevia minivan — This is a clone of the Sienna, which is produced in China at a different factory.
