The game will take place in feudal Japan, and Ubiosoft has promised to support the project for many years
During its latest financial report to investors, Ubisoft let slip that it plans to release its next Assassin's Creed game, codenamed Red, before the end of the next fiscal year (between April 2024 and March 2025).
Ubisoft promised to announce the exact dates later, but is already noting that the new Assassin's Creed will not be released on outgoing generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
According to Assassin's Creed franchise executive producer Marc-Alexis Coté, the game will be “as realistic as possible” and will take place in “ dynamic world“.
