Microsoft responded to another attempt to disrupt the deal with Activision Blizzard, made by the US Federal Trade Commission, which tried to accuse the company of violating its own promises. According to the regulator, Microsoft promised independence to ActiBlizz, but instead is engaged in layoffs.

Microsoft lawyers countered the regulator’s accusations by saying that Activision Blizzard itself wanted to eliminate some of the staff even before the deal.

Some journalists also believe in this version, who note that the company has stopped achieving key financial indicators for some time, while the number of employees has been growing.
