Apple has released new screenshots of its next-generation CarPlay system ahead of its launch later this year.
They show off the new Vehicle, Media and Climate apps. The next generation of CarPlay will be highly customizable, allowing automakers to tailor the system design to their vehicles. Apple has introduced many different designs and layouts.
The next generation of CarPlay will allow automakers to display customized alerts related to EV charging status, available vehicle software updates, and more. Additionally, CarPlay will have rear camera integration.
Apple's website still says that the first cars with the next generation of CarPlay will appear in 2024, but has not yet given more specific dates and models.
