From Baidu
Apple is discussing the possibility of using Baidu's generative artificial intelligence in the iPhone and other devices in China, as reported by Bloomberg, citing The Wall Street Journal.
Apple has held early talks about using Baidu's generative artificial intelligence technology in its gadgets, the magazine reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The US company was looking for a local partner as regulators must review all artificial intelligence models.
Baidu is considered one of the leaders in artificial intelligence in China, where startups and tech giants are pouring billions into developing their own ChatGPT counterparts. However, the OpenAI solution and other foreign services are not available in China.
Previously, it was reported that Apple is also in talks with OpenAI and Google regarding the use of their AI services in iOS.
