Apple is also reportedly set to release its own smart ring. 

There are few details yet. Apple has reportedly been working on such a device for some time, but is in no hurry to bring it to market. In particular, the company wants to see how the market reacts to Samsung's smart ring, which is due to be introduced at the end of the summer. 

Potentially, Apple's ring could be an alternative to the company's smartwatches. The ring may offer many of the same health-related features, but the ring may be significantly less expensive.  

Of course, not everyone wants to wear some kind of ring, but the same applies to watches.
