It will be able to travel up to 200 km without gasoline
This week, BYD invigorated the Chinese car market by launching the cheap Destroyer 05 Honor Edition hybrid sedan and the cheaper (and improved) Dolphin Honor Edition hatchback, and now another Honor Edition model is on the way — hybrid crossover BYD Tang DM-i Honor Edition. Considering the wave of price reductions launched by the cheap Destroyer 05 Honor Edition, there is no doubt that approximately the same reaction will be to the BYD Tang DM-i Honor Edition and its clearly low cost — like all other Honor Edition models.
The dimensions of the BYD Tang DM-i Honor Edition are 4870 x 1950 x 1725 mm, wheelbase —2820 mm. Inside there is room for seven.
Judging by the photo, the car will be very well equipped (this is a distinctive feature of the Honor Edition models): leather interior, large panoramic roof, adaptive cruise control, heated and ventilated front seats, longitudinal adjustment of the second row seats, a media system with a large screen, digital instrument panel etc.
The power plant of the BYD Tang DM-i Honor Edition is built on the basis of a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 139 hp. The power of the electric motors is not reported, but there is consumption data — 5.5 l/100 km. Since the hybrid is plug-in, the BYD Tang DM-i Honor Edition will be able to travel on pure electricity up to 200 km (according to the NEDC measurement method).
