The most profitable year was 2022
Apple has sold smartphones worth almost $2 trillion over the entire existence of the iPhone.
Data from Stocklytics.com and Statista indicate a figure of 1.95 trillion at the moment, with very little left to reach the cherished milestone. In particular, last quarter iPhone sales brought the company nearly $46 billion, so just one or two more quarters and the mark will be passed.
Apple's most profitable year was 2022, when iPhone sales brought the company $205.4 billion. 2023 was only slightly behind with 200.5 billion, and we can still highlight 2021 — 191.9 billion. All other years, the figures never exceeded 167 billion. One can also note a very impressive growth in general, because back in 2014 another record was set at that time at 101.9 billion.
