Volvo Cars has announced the official start of deliveries of its first all-electric minivan, the Volvo EM90. The car was presented on November 12, 2023. On February 6, 2024, the first production Volvo EM90 officially rolled off the production line.
As Volvo's first all-electric minivan, the EM90 features a 116 kWh battery and a CLTC range of 738 km.
According to officials, the EM90's design is inspired by Scandinavian style. The car offers users a comfortable, safe and smart mobile living space. The length, width and height of the car are 5206, 2024 and 1859 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 3205 mm. It has a high-strength frame body structure.
In the six-seat MPV model, the EM90 second-row seats feature a seven-layer structure. They provide massage, ventilation and heating. There are also built-in tray tables and cup holders.
The car integrates various driving assistance features such as high-definition cameras, panoramic viewing system, millimeter wave radar and ultrasonic sensors. The EM90 is equipped with a high-efficiency air conditioner filter and active air purification technology that can remove up to 95% of PM2.5 particles. The EM90 is equipped with a Bowers & Wilkins with 21 speakers, including headrest speakers, totaling 2460 W
The new car uses electric drive, it is equipped with a motor with a maximum power of 200 kW and a triple lithium-ion battery. The maximum speed reaches 180 km/h.
