Hasbro gaming president Cynthia Williams explained in an interview that the company wants to continue working with Larian Studios as it invests in the gaming space to expand its influence.

Behind the scenes at parent company Wizards of the Coas, there are “about 40 games in development.”

“We are actively investing in [ games], we are looking for the best partners in the world to work with them on interesting projects on every platform, in every genre. […] I spoke with [Larian Studios] last night. I hope that we can continue to collaborate with them.”

It is unclear whether the joint project will be related to the tabletop role-playing game D& ;D.

The decision is not surprising, since Baldur's Gate 3 has already sold over 10 million copies. In addition, the number of active players on Steam averages 645,000 people per day. The next major update for the game will be mod support.
