One UI 6.1 update broke the fingerprint scanner in the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra, but Samsung has already promised to fix it

Although it is still unclear when the update will be released

Samsung, through its proprietary forum, announced that it is aware of problems with the fingerprint scanner in Galaxy S23 smartphones after installing the One UI 6.1 update. The company said that it is already working to eliminate the causes, and that a patch will appear in the near future. How close is — It’s still unclear. Sammobile resource believes that the patch may be part of the April security updates: they have so far only been released for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, and the Galaxy S23 line is next in line.

Recall that after installing One UI 6.1, users began to complain that the fingerprint scanner icon was no longer displayed on the screen when trying to wake up the smartphone from sleep mode (by double tapping the screen or pressing the power key). When the icon appears on the display, you need to touch it twice — unlocking is triggered exactly after the user removes his finger and then touches the screen again.

Samsung previously confirmed problems with the touch screen in the Galaxy S23 line and said that it was working to fix this problem as well.
