The aviation concern is provided with orders almost until the end of the decade: now there are about 8.5 thousand

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus reported an increase in deliveries of its aircraft by the end of 2023. Over the past year, it shipped 735 civil aircraft to 87 customer companies, which is 11% more than in 2022. At the same time, deliveries turned out to be higher than predicted: Airbus planned to send only 720 aircraft to customers. Although up to the record level of 2019 — about 870 shipped aircraft — still far away, the company plans to achieve it this year.

In addition, in 2023, the European aviation concern received more than 2 thousand applications for its aircraft, and now the number of orders that have yet to be fulfilled is 8598 units. In fact, Airbus has already sold out all narrow-body aircraft by the end of the decade and until 2028 — wide-body.

According to the results of last year, Airbus again surpassed the long-suffering Boeing, which recently again faced the suspension of operation of 737 MAX aircraft due to an incident in which part of the fuselage fell out of an Alaska Airlines airliner during the flight. As a result of the resulting depressurization of the cabin, by some miracle no one was seriously injured, and the plane landed safely. At the end of 2023, Boeing reported only 528 aircraft sold.
